Tasting notes:
A golden colour for a golden wine. The nose full of tropical fruit aromatics that are reminiscent of mango, papaya, peach, apricot, and passion fruit to name just a few. The palate is lively with balanced acidity and a rich lush feel that is decadent. Sensations experienced in the nose follow through here in added intensity. The finish is lengthy and rich

Vintage Information:
Harvesting the Riesling grapes for Icewine was simple in comparison to 2001 due to the abundance of cold weather in the winter of 2002 to 2003. Grapes were harvested in early January 2003 at 40.1 Brix. The average picking temperature was –9 °C. The fruit was solely from Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Winemaker’s Notes: The Icewine juice had a Brix content of 40.1° before fermentation. The long cool stainless steel ferment took place over two and a half months. Similar to the Vidal Icewine, no additions, blending or fining was required post fermentation, the wine was simply perfect on its own. Will age at least 10 years for increased complexity.
